"Gunda"

Kanti shah's Gunda isn't just another movie but an amazing cult-film (enjoyed by small,
yet loyal group) of India. This epic production hilariously portrays the niche of Mumbai in 90's.

For a cinephile craving for logic, this isn't an obvious movie. The experienced,
legendary actors of the movie would represent a terribly serious situation of the city in the wittiest way one could imagine. The crazy rhyming dialogues will set you to get off to your feet and enjoy every moment of this brainsick movie.

“Gunda” is a story of an honest man, 'Shankar'  (Mithun Chakraborty) how comes in a way with the gangster 'Bulla' (Mukesh Rishi) who swears revenge. Bulla then manages to trap shankar's sister with a scammer working for a pimp, Lucky chikna (Razak Khan). Chutiya (Shakti kapoor), Bulla's impotent younger brother, becomes sex-crazed under the influence of London-imported pills, who then rapes Geeta and end up killing her.

The rest of the movie is about the revenge of Shankar against Bulla and his
companions.

The cinematography is way more than the term, "insane" . You would find scenes of an
injured man running in an airport suddenly reaching to a coal mine, Shankar hiding behind a cycle to guard him from the fired bullets and lot of such hilarious scenes.
